Way 1: Transfer playlist from iPhone to iTunes with a Third Party Tool
In the first method, I will show you how to transfer music and playlist from iPhone to iTunes with help of a third party transfer – dr.fone – iOS Transfer, which can help you transfer playlists to iTunes with play counts, songs, ratings and more other info in just one click. After the process, you can play your transferred playlists fluently. Here are steps for you:
Step 1. Launch dr.fone & connect iPhone to computer
To start with, please get the program and install it on your computer. We provide you free trial version of both the Windows version and the Mac version, please choose the suitable one. Then please launch the program by double-clicking to bring up the primary window. Choose “Transfer” option then please connect your iPhone to the computer via a USB cable. After the connection, the program will start to detect your iPhone and show it in the starting window.
Step 2. Copy playlist from iPhone to iTunes
For Mac version user: When seeing categories in the left side of the starting window, please click “Music” to bring up music window. In the new window, you are free to choose the playlists you want to transfer. Then click “Export to iTunes”, the program will start to transfer playlists for you automatically.
For Windows version user: Firstly, please click “Playlists” in the left side column of the starting window, then you can choose the playlists you want to transfer. Way 2: Copy Playlist from iPhone to iTunes Through iTunes
With iTunes, you can also transfer playlists from iPhone to iTunes Library with ease. However, you should ensure that all music in the playlists also exists in your iTunes Library, otherwise, the music and info will not be found in your playlists.
Step 1. Firstly, please launch your iTunes and click the menu “iTunes View”. Then choose “Show Sidebar” and connect your iPhone to the computer via a USB cable. Your iPhone will be detected by iTunes immediately and shown under “DEVICES” in Sidebar.
Step 2. Now, please click the little triangle beside your iPhone to bring up the iTunes library of your iPhone, where shows you all your iPhone playlists. Here you can choose any playlist you want to transfer and then right click it(if you are Mac user, please control-click it), then just choose the button “Export”. You will then see a new window, please choose a format as XML saves it on your computer.
Step 3. Now please click on the menu “iTunes File” and turn to “Library” and then choose “Import Playlists”. In the new pop-up window, please choose the playlists you just saved on your computer and add them to your iTunes library. After the process, you’d better check the playlists on your computer to ensure whether they work. If you find no music and info in the playlists, you will need to turn to method 1 for help.
