Even though Android is in constant competition with one of its major competitors, the iOS platform, they have yet to release a standard piece of software which can be used with Android devices. Because of this, a lot of Android users struggle to transfer music from computer to Huawei Mate 9. Fortunately, though, we have some methods & a powerful Huawei File Manager that will get the job done for you.
With this in mind, here we are going to be taking a look at 3 separate methods which can all be used to successfully transfer music from computer to Huawei Mate 9 and more importantly, can do so in just a few minutes.
Method #1 – Using the Best Huawei File Manager – dr.fone to Transfer Music from Computer to Huawei Mate 9
With this first method, you are able to transfer your music between your computer and Huawei device using the best Huawei File Manager called dr.fone – Android Transfer. This program is available to everyone as while there is a paid version, there is a free version available on both Windows and Mac computers.
Step #1 – Start by downloading the dr.fone program and installing it accordingly. After it has installed, launch the program.
Step #2 – If you don’t already have your device connected to your computer using a USB cable, then now is the time to connect it. Allow a few moments for dr.fone to detect the connection.
Step #3 – Once your device has connected and dr.fone has detected the connection of your device, click on the “Music” tab on the top panel.
Step #4 – A list of all the music that is stored on your device will then be shown. To add music to your device’s music library, click on the “Add” button at the top, followed by either “Add File” to add a single song, or “Add Folder” to add a folder full of songs.
Note: Alternatively, you can also drag and drop music onto the music menu which is displayed and it will be added to whichever playlist you are currently viewing.
Step #5 – Once you’ve selected all of the music that you want to be added to your library, click on the “Open” button and the music will be added to your device’s library.
Step #6 – After the transfer is complete, you have successfully transferred your music from your computer over to your Huawei device.
While I recommend using this excellent Huawei File Manager over some of the others that we’re going to be looking at if you find that this hasn’t worked for you then try looking at one of the other methods.
Method #2 – Transferring Music Using Windows Media Player
You are only able to use this method if you have a Windows computer. If you have a Mac then, unfortunately, this method will not work for you.
Step #1 – Although Windows Media Player is installed by default, if you don’t have it installed for whatever reason, then go ahead and download and install it now.
Step #2 – Connect your Huawei device using a USB cable before you move forward with the process.
Step #3 – Once you’ve done this, open up the Windows Media Player, click on the “Library” tab which is located on the top panel, and click “Music”.
Step #4 – On the right panel, right-click on your device and click on the “Set up sync…” option which will be shown.
Step #5 – Next, go onto your Huawei device and a notification will be shown. You will be shown two options. For this method, click on the “Connected as a media device” option.
Step #6 – After doing this, the synchronization process will take only a few minutes (depending on how much music you are syncing) and after that, you will be able to access all of your music on your Huawei Mate 9.
This method is fantastic as given that by default, Windows has the Windows Media Player installed, all Windows users have easy access to it. The only negative side to this method is that it is only available to Windows users.
Method #3 – Using File Explorer to Transfer Music from Computer to Huawei Mate 9
Lastly, this method talks you through how to manually transfer music from computer to Huawei Mate 9. While this is more difficult than the other methods, if nothing has worked for you so far then this method may be worth checking out!
Step #1 – Similar to the first method, make sure that Windows Media Player is installed and ready to go if it was not already installed.
Step #2 – It’s also important to make sure that Windows Media Player is up to date with the most recent version available.
Note: to make sure that your Windows Media Player is always up to date, head over to the “Properties”, select the “Player” submenu, and make sure that the “Check for updates:” option has “Once a day” checked.
Step #3 – On your computer, open up the “File Explorer” and open up your device’s files. From here, scroll until you find the folder called “music”.
Step #4 – This folder displays all of the music which is currently stored on your device. From here you can both add and remove music as you please.
As you can tell, this method is a bit harder than the other two that we’ve looked at above. While difficult, if you have tried the others and have had no success, then, by all means, go ahead and try this method out.
The Best Method for Huawei File Manager
Out of the three methods which we have discussed above that allow you to transfer music from computer to Huawei Mate 9, using dr.fone – Transfer which is the best Huawei File Manager is in your best interests. This Huawei File Manager not only transfer data between any two devices for you but also delete duplicate music files or sync iTunes music with your Huawei phone for you with simple clicks. Even though not everyone can afford to purchase a piece of software like dr.fone, if you have the opportunity then my suggestion to you would be to get your hands on it.
If you aren’t able to get your hands on dr.fone, then either of the other two methods will work just the same apart from the different processes that are used.
Rooting Your Device by the Huawei File Manager – dr.fone-Root
One of my favorite features of dr.fone-Root is that you are able to root your Huawei device in just one click. By rooting your device, you are given so much more freedom over your device and are able to do a lot more with it.
Not only that but by rooting your Android device you are able to delete any pesky applications which are installed by default which simply take up unnecessary space. This is something which undoubtedly a lot of people wish they were able to do.
