Note: if you want to have your entire device scanned, check the “Select All” box at the top of the program.
Step #4 – Next, you’ll be shown all of the backups that are currently stored in your iTunes backup folder. Select the most recent backup for your device and click on the “Scan” button.
Note: if your iTunes backup isn’t shown, click on the “Select” button below the backups and manually locate the backup which you want to have scanned.
Step #5 – The selected backup will then be scanned, and a breakdown of the detected data will be shown. Using the list of data types on the left, click on the most relevant data type.
Step #6 – From here, locate the data that you want to have recovered, select it, and click on the “Recover” button at the bottom right. After a few minutes, you will be able to find the lost data on your device once again.
The only problem here is that if you haven’t been taking regular backups of your device’s data, then you won’t be able to recover iPhone 8 data. For that reason, it’s important to take frequent backups to ensure the best possible chance of data recovery.
Part 3. How to Recover iPhone 8 Data from iCloud Backup
Lastly, we are going to show you how you can use iMyFone D-Back to recover any lost data using an iCloud backup.
Step #1 – First, launch iMyFone D-Back on your computer and connect your iPhone 8 with a lightning cable.
Step #2 – Next, using the panel on the left, click on the “Recover from iCloud Backup” feature.

Step #7 – Once you have found the data which you lost, select it and click on the “Recover” button.
As you might have guessed, if you haven’t been using iCloud to take regular data backups, you can’t use this iPhone 8 data recovery method.
