You must have heard about the difficulties you may come across when trying to transfer contacts from iCloud to Android. It is not surprising because they are totally different operating systems and have different system architecture. You can see the differences easily especially when you try to copy some files to your iPhone or Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or other Android devices. To Android, you just need to drag and drop the files to your Android device directly on the computer, while to iOS, you may have to turn to iTunes for help. And what if you want to transfer files between iOS and Android, especially when the types of the files are really special just like the contacts? It seems no doable and simple choice for you to choose from, right?
However, that is not right. Actually the difficulties we are talking about can be solved by a power program which termed MobileGo for Android or MobileGo for Android Pro (for Mac). With the help of it, you can easily copy the contacts from your iCloud to Samsung Galaxy Note 4/5/8/9 easily. But firstly, we need to do some preparations for it.
Part 1: Preparations Before The iCloud Contacts to Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Transfer
Before transfer the contacts to your Android phone, for example, your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (for convenience, I will take this latest Samsung Android phone for example during the whole tutorial), we need to find a way to export all the iOS contacts you want. It can be solved by iCloud with ease. So let’s export iClould contacts to VCF file firstly. The steps are as below:
Step 1: Sign up your iCloud on computer.
Step 2: Click “Contacts” and then choose the contacts you want.
Step 3: Click the little icon in the lower left quarter to show the menu. Just click “Export vCard…” to export the selected contacts as vCard files to the computer.
Part 2: Import the exported iClould vCard file to your Samsung Galaxy Note 4/5/8/9
Step 1: Install MobileGo for Android on computer.
Download and install MobileGo for Android from the Internet and then launch it on your computer.
Step 2: Connect Samsung Galaxy Note 9/8/5/4 to the computer.
Here are two ways for you to choose from:
- 1.Via USB cable: you need a USB digital line.
- 2.Via Wi-Fi: the MobileGo for Android app is required to be installed on your Galaxy Note 4/5/8/9.
After connecting your portable device, the program should identify it and show the information of the device for you.
Step 3: Import iCloud VCF contacts to your Samsung Galaxy Note 4/Note 5/Note 8
Go to the contacts management window of MobileGo for Android, and then click the “Import/Export” button. In the drop-down menu, choose “Import Contacts from Computer” and then click “Import vCard file”. Now you can browse to the location where the exported iCloud vCard file is and then choose it, click “OK” button and then all of them will be imported to your Samsung Galaxy Note Phone later.
That’s it! You can find all your iCloud contacts on your Samsung Galaxy Note Phone now. With MobileGo for Android, you can also merge the duplicate contacts on your Note 4, manage & edit your contacts’ information. Have a try now.
